Assalamu Alaykum Brothers and Sisters,

Alhamdulillah, walhamdulillah, walhamdulillah.

As you all know, we opened our food shelf during the month of Ramadan. Things went really well with the Help & Tawfeeq of Allah(swt).

Over the course of three weekends, the food shelf served about 350 distinct families plus some returning families ... that's a total of more than a 1000 individuals.

The support of the community was overwhelming. Masha Allah this is just another example of how a project could turn into a great success with many hands coming together. As our beloved Prophet(saw) said, "A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other." (al-Bukhari).

Special thanks to Abubakr Islamic Center for providing us with the space, Masjid Ar-Rahman for providing most of the funds, and all the contributors - both individuals and organizations.

And may Allah reward the food shelf team for its tireless efforts throughout Ramadan to make this project happen.

We intend to resume the food shelf in a few weeks inshaAllah and it will be open once a month. Please look out for updates.
