Just 89 cents can help us buy 3 meals for 1 individual!!
YOUR generosity is greatly needed in helping us continue a program that benefits many in this community, by the grace of Allah - the Building Blocks' food shelf.
Alhamdulillah, the food shelf, which first opened during Ramadhan, served more than 400 families (1500 individuals) in the holy month. And after Eid ul Adha, 2,000 pounds of udhiyah meat was distributed to 75 families (300 individuals) (Visit Muslim Care project updates for more details)
Evidently, food assistance is greatly needed in the community especially since there is a significant number of Muslim single-parent families and seniors with no regular source of income.
We want to operate the food shelf on a monthly basis, inshaAllah, but we need YOUR HELP. We are seeking individuals who can sponsor food purchases. Through our bulk purchasing program and collaborations with food banks we can buy the equivalent of three meals for each person at a rate of 89 cents.
Brothers and sisters think of all the hasanat you can gain from Allah Subhanahu wa Taala by feeding a fellow Muslim. Think of all the benefits to the Muslim community when you extend a helping hand out to those in need.

May Allah reward you for all your contributions and efforts towards His cause.
"And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive. (Saying): 'We feed you seeking Allah's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you. Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislikeness to it).' So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy."
