By the grace of Allah, Subhanahu wa Taala,  Building Blocks relaunched its Sisters Youth Program on Feb. 29th, 2008.

The youth group, which is aimed at girls 12 and up, meets for a weekly halaqat on Saturdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at Masjid al Huda.

The group's goal is to cultivate young sisters into practicing, adhering Muslimahs, who not only want to better themselves, but will go on to better the community as a whole, Insha Allah! This will not only be done through educational halaqat, but also through other fun and interactive activities.

During the first meeting, several young girls helped to define the direction of the group by choosing topics they would like to discuss in the upcoming halaqat. Some of their choices, mashaAllah, included Attributes of Allah, Challenges young Muslim girls face in our society, Historical Muslim women, Life in the Grave, Puberty, etc. InshaAllah, we hope to map out more activities for the future.

We highly encourage you to come and bring your friends, daughters, and sisters with you!

Day and Time: Every Saturday, 7 to 8 p.m.

(Parents - rest assured that the halaqat are run by responsible sisters who are committed to mentoring the youth for the sake of Allah, and they take place in a safe Islamic environment) .
